What is Carotid Stenosis
Carotid Stenosis – also called carotid artery disease this condition is the narrowing of carotid arteries. These arteries are the ones responsible for carrying blood with oxygen from your heart to the brain. If you have this condition you will most likely develop heart-related problems such as stroke, heart attack, and hypertension.
Carotid stenosis is caused by the cholesterol plaque building inside the artery wall and this eventually will narrow the blood flow to the brain giving a hard time for the heart to pump blood. This will cause your heart to force to pump more blood giving it strain on your heart muscles
